All weatherseals sold by Ultrafab, Inc. are tested to AAMA voluntary specifications for pile weatherstripping and replaceable fenestration weatherseals.

Under AAMA 701-04 the following pile weatherseal series are approved:

Test Lab

Ultrafab, Inc. has recently completed construction on a new Fenestration Test Lab. The lab enables us to do standard air and water infiltration testing (AAMA 101, etc.). We are now a verified AAMA laboratory and perform all required testing on our pile and extruded weatherseals using AAMA 701-04 and 702-04.

The lab is also equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that allows us to test both finished weatherseal products and individual raw material components. All finished products and major components are tested extensively and all seals are put through an accelerated weathering test protocol.

• We can work with most CAD software, and will provide you with seal drawings in the required format so that you can import them right into your profile drawings.
  
• In most cases, we can provide you with a prototype, sample, or mock-up quickly to determine if the solution makes sense in the actual design.

Our new test lab gives us the ability to work on the problem for you without the high cost of going to an independent lab until you are ready for final testing and approval. If your own internal lab is overrun with projects, we can also help. All we need is the unit to be tested and the test protocol required and we can get started.
