Ultrafab was presented with the 2011 Employer of the Year award by the New York State ARC. This award is presented to New York State corporations or businesses that have shown incredible commitment and support in providing job opportunities for people who have intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Alan DeMello, President of Ultrafab, attended the annual NYSARC, Inc. convention in Albany to receive the award. Ultrafab has worked with the ARC since the late 1980’s providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Our distributor for Australia and New Zealand, Lincoln Sentry, presented Ultrafab with the Supplier of the Year award during their visit in September 2011. What makes this award even more special is that is it voted on and awarded by the employees of Lincoln Sentry. Although we are one of their smaller and newer suppliers, we were chosen for the top award out of approximately 50 other suppliers. Congratulations to all our employees in operations, sales, engineering, accounting, logistics and customer service that earned this award!

The 2011 Victor YMCA Race for a Cause was held on 9/10/2011, to support the ‘Invest in Youth Campaign’. Ultrafab was an event sponsor and four Ultrafab employees participated in the 5K run - Chris Spencer, Shane Watson, Matthew Knights and Danielle VanBortel. Chris and Danielle both placed 2nd in their age groups! Congratulations to all for completing the run on that beautiful Saturday morning.

On Sunday April 17, seven employees from Ultrafab participated in the Better Life 5K Run. Mike Treese, Danielle VanBortel, Sergio Case, Adam Crosby, Matt Knights, Shane Watson and Jennifer Steier participated in the challenging run around the cart paths at Ravenwood Golf Course. The run was to benefit the FF Thompson Hospital Foundation, in which Ultrafab was a silver sponsor. Special Congratulations to Mike, Danielle, Sergio and Shane who were all metal winners – placing in the top 3 for their age categories!
