Fabricator Backing Options

Ultrafab offers a wide variety of custom backing options to assist fabricators with specific problems relating to offline insertion and the elimination of Weatherstrip T channel slippage.

Ultra Loc®

  • Solid polypropylene backing inserts more easily, saving time and reducing waste
  • Ultra Loc backing has a continuous series of tabs on each side of the backing which align and hold the backing in place
  • Ultra Loc is available in three versions, S7 which has a .015” tab, S9 which has a .025” tab, and S10 which has a .30″ tab for added holding power
    No possibility of off-center pile that binds, breaks or stretches in an extrusion
  • Ultra Loc is designed to be inserted by hand or by an automated process using Ultrafab’s patented pile insertion equipment

Size Options:

  • Size 10 – most aggressive for wide and varying T-slots (Available in .270”w & .187”w)
  • Size 9 – (Available in .270”w, .229”w, .210”w, .200”w .187”w & .180”w)
  • Size 7 – for slight variation in T-slots dimensions (Available in .270”w, .210”w, .200”w, .187”w & .180”w) double
